At the end of September and throughout October 2023, the MultiEd team conducted online events to disseminate the project results.
On September 30, an international online conference «Multilingual Education in Ukraine» was held. The conference was moderated by the European project coordinator Oleksandra Golovko (University of Tartu). Oleksandra Laktionova, a state expert of the Directorate of Vocational Pre-Higher, Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine presented the information on institutional steps towards quality teaching, learning and use of English in higher education institutions in Ukraine. National project coordinator Svitlana Zapolskykh (Zaporizhzhia National University) presented the results of the project implementation and the development and implementation of multilingual education strategies in partner universities. Hans- Werner Huneke (Heidelberg University of Education) highlighted the principles of multilingual education in Germany.
During the conference, the participants discussed the European experience of implementing multilingual education and paid attention to the introduction of modern methods of teaching foreign languages at different stages of education in Ukraine.
The final webinar on October 30 «Beyond MultiEd» was aimed at internationalizing education and promoting the Erasmus + programme in Ukraine.
The speakers were the project manager of the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine, Kateryna Zhdanova with the presentation «Cooperation with European Universities within the Erasmus+ Programme». The coordinator of the MultiEd project Oleksandra Golovko (University of Tartu, Estonia) shared the experience of writing projects «Erasmus + Project Writing: Getting Ideas from the Air». Four parallel sessions of the webinar were devoted to the peculiarities of writing international projects Erasmus + K2, Erasmus + KA171 and international experience of cooperation between partner universities.
The webinar participants received advice on determining the strategic goal and tasks of writing Erasmus + projects.
The high attendance of the webinars and the activity of the participants demonstrates the interest of Ukrainian educators in the CLIL methodology as a tool for promoting multilingualism in Ukraine and integrating the country into the European educational environment.
Based on the results of the events, TESOL-Ukraine representatives issued 658 certificates to the participants.
