A number of professional development courses for Ukrainian educators were held in terms of the MultiEd project on three consecutive weeks. Online seminars took place from June 12 to June 29 (on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Each seminar consisted of three interactive workshops conducted by scientists from partner universities on the Zoom platform.
A total of 36 workshops were held under four main themes: ” Curriculum design and graduates’ general and special skills and competences in the 21st century”, “CLIL methodology in Ukraine: challenges and prospects”, “Blended learning and EU life-long learning practices”, “Multilingual education in the EU and Ukraine”. The topics of the seminars covered such areas of modern education as the development of curricula in accordance with the needs of skills and competencies of 21st century specialists’ formation, the use of CLIL methodology in educational institutions of Ukraine, blended learning and lifelong learning, multilingual education in Ukraine and the EU. Together with other colleagues from all over Ukraine the speakers shared their experience of working in the project, findings in pedagogical and methodological tools and techniques, and also demonstrated the achievements of their students in the subjects they teach. Educators from educational institutions of Ukraine of various educational levels actively took part at the seminars.
We are grateful to the educators of our country who joined in the workshops developed by the project participants. The number of visitors and their warm feedback indicate the timeliness and relevance of the topic.
